Nigerian president elect goes abroad for “relaxation “after bruising election victory

Nigerian president elect Bola Tinubu has traveled to France and from where he will connect to UK for his holiday.

According to the spokesperson for Mr Tinubu Mr Tunde Rahman, he told the media that the president had left the country on Tuesday and he will observe hajj in Saudi Arabia.

“Nigerian president elect decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah and the Ramadan fasting that begins Thursday,” Mr Rahman said.

He further added that Tinubu was expected to be back soon.

However Mr Tinubu’s frequent travels overseas continue to fuel speculation about his I’ll health issue’s having made several unannounced trips to the UK and France before campaign’s started in 2022.

In addition the president is also facing legal court battles over his victory from the 25 February presidential election.
